Pickup Truck Flips on Reed Rd. After Crashing Into Tractor Trailer

Two injuries were reported in Monday morning's two-vehicle crash in Broomall.

BROOMALL–At approximately 7:15 a.m. on Aug. 27, responded to an overturned vehicle on the 400 block of Reed Road in Broomall involving a pickup truck and a tractor trailer.

Upon arriving to the scene, police discovered the pickup truck overturned and located in the woods, according to police.

According to police officials, the pickup truck was driving on Reed Road–coming from the direction of Eagle Road–through the intersection of Marpit Road when the driver of the vehicle illegally passed another vehicle on Reed Road.

During this time, a tractor trailer was coming on Reed Road in the opposite direction and was getting ready to make a left turn when the pickup truck and tractor trailer crashed into one another, said police.

According to police, both vehicles tried avoid each other but the force of the crash caused the pickup truck to overturn.

Both drivers were reported injured, according to police. One driver refused to be transported to the hospital while another was sent to Bryn Mawr Hospital.

A portion of Reed Road between Marpit Road and Parkway Drive was closed for approximately one hour to traffic.
