According to the affidavit, Bush had stolen electronic items from Automated Card Systems (ACS) East located at 4689 West Chester Pike in Newtown Square on March 13.

On March 30, police made contact with the suspect, Bush, who referred to himself as “Josh” and confirmed he was selling a DataCard SP75 Plus printer, which had been notified as stolen from ACS East.

Police then found that the vehicle had large cardboard boxes in the back seats of the vehicle, said police. At approximately 10 a.m. that day, Bush called the police contact to meet at the Old Sproul Shopping Center across from the mall because he was meeting another customer, said police in the affidavit.

At approximately 10:04 a.m., the police contact told Bush he was in front of Peace of Pizza. Within a minute, police said they observed the same black Cadillac from Springfield Mall arrive to the front of the pizza shop which was driven by Bush.

Bush exited the vehicle and identified himself as “Josh” to the police contact, according to the affidavit. Bush then told the police contact that he worked for a computer company and was "selling some of this stock for cheap to upgrade his products."

Bush then removed the two large boxes from the back seats of the vehicle, which contained two DataCard SP75 printers. Police confirmed those printers as being the same stolen items listed from ACE East on March 13 by the serial numbers.

According to the affidavit, police then asked Bush where the other printer was, in which he then opened the trunk of the vehicle where police observed the same type of box with another SP75 printer inside that was confirmed as another stolen item by the serial number.

Police arrested Bush on scene of the incident. Police also noted that once the box was removed from the vehicle, the police contact observed a Cannon G-9 digital camera box, several Dell desktop monitors and a tripod inside the trunk area as well. According to the affidavit, all appeared to be stolen items from ACS East on March 13. Police have valued the items stolen at approximately $30,000.

Thief Enters Mobil Gas Station Via Bathroom, Steals $1,000 of Items

On April 1 at approximately 6:45 a.m., police arrived to Don’s Mobil Gas Station on West Chester Pike for a reported forced entry burglary.

Upon arrival, one of the owners told police he entered the back office area of the gas station at 6:30 a.m. to open for business and noticed the door to the office wide open, according to the incident report.

The owner told police he looked inside and noticed the room was in "complete disarray" and noticed a large hole in the wall. Police said the store closed at 9 p.m. on March 31 and sometime overnight the thief entered the gas station through an out-of-order bathroom located on the west side of the building.

The bathroom was out of service for several months and was not secured overnight, the owners told police in the incident report. According to the report, police believe the thief had used a blunt object to knock a large hole in the cinderblock wall of the bathroom. Police noted that the thief did not leave this tool behind.

According to police, the hole in the wall was made at the exact same height as the top of the 2.5-feet tall filing cabinet in the office. The thief then removed a few items from the top of the filing cabinet, placed them on the bathroom floor, reached in the hole of the bathroom and took a towel that was hanging nearby, said police in the incident report. The thief then laid the towel through the hole which prevented the thief from getting drywall dust on their clothing, according to the report.

Inside the office, the thief had apparently walked on white paper that had been knocked on the floor, in which one piece of paper had a visible footprint imprinted. According to the report, the thief had also removed one ceiling tile from the office ceiling which police believe the thief may have been looking for money hidden above the ceiling tiles but, the owners confirmed, there was no money hidden there.

Police said the thief then left the back office and entered the main garage area to the rear (southern most) portion of the main garage area and pried open a locked filing cabinet in which the thief removed three safety inspection stickers.

The thief then opened a toolbox owned by one of the employees and removed a Gear wrench set valued at $300. It contained 11-15 wrenches and it was stored in the bottom drawer of the toolbox, according to the incident report. The thief left the building with several other stolen items, including a TV and laptop–by climbing back through the hole in the wall and then out of the same bathroom.

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on April 1, the incident report stated, police were on routine patrol when they observed a tan-colored 1988 Chrysler leaving the property. The total values of the stolen items at the gas station are as follows: three PA safety inspection stickers–$6; 15-inch HD TV–$200; $50 cash; wrench set–$300; Laptop–$500.

Police are still investigating this incident.
