The Newtown Township Police Department is again investigating multiple reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles.

A homeowner found a white woman sitting in the passenger seat of her unlocked car, which was parked in the driveway at about 7:15 a.m., according to Lunn, and it was believed that the woman was looking for valuables to steal.

She fled from the car after being discovered by the homeowner, according to Lunn.

Police again remind residents to lock vehicles when they are left unattended and do not leave valuables inside the cars. Also keep your house and garage secured to prevent easy access. Outside lights on motion detectors are also a good deterrent.
