Police: Woman Wakes To Intruder With Flashlight in Her Bedroom

BROOMALL–On Sept. 7 at approximately 3:10 a.m., Marple police responded to a burglary reported on the 2100 block of Mary Lane.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the homeowner who stated that a man had entered her bedroom with a flashlight during the night.

The woman told police she awoke to a man with a flashlight who said, “Hey” when he noticed the woman had woken up, according to the report.

The man then turned and quickly left the home through the front door, according to the report.

The woman was unable to describe the man due to the darkness.

According to the report, the woman saw the man run down Mary Lane toward Cedar Grove Road.

Upon further investigation, police observed the rear dining room window open. Nothing was reported missing, according to the report.

Police are further investigating this incident.
