Santa To Tour Newtown Neighborhoods This Weekend

The Newtown Square Fire Co. will be touring with Santa in Newtown Township starting Friday, Dec. 20.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Santa Claus will be coming to Newtown Township this weekend. With the help of the Newtown Square Fire Co., Santa will be riding on a fire truck throughout the different neighborhoods of the township starting Friday night at dusk.

According to the fire company, Friday night's tour will cover all areas south of West Chester Pike/Route 3 and the Lower Saint Alban's and Larchmont neighborhoods in the township.

The following night on Saturday will cover points north of West Chester Pike. The fire trucks will be using their sirens to alert residents that Santa is coming and firefighters will be handing out candy canes to all the residents, according to the fire company.

The fire company reminds parents and adults to stay out of the street with their children for safety reasons.

And, regardless of age, candy canes will be handed to all.

Love this! I'll never forget my first Christmas in Newtown . My children were sick and didn't get to see Santa. When Santa rode high ontop of that truck, the spotlight on him and huge snowflakes falling, it was a scene right out of a Christmas book! After that a kind neighbor saw to it that Santa stop by our home to the delight of the entire family!
