BROOMALL–On Feb. 14 at approximately 11 a.m., Marple police received a call from an employee at JoAnn Fabrics for a reported stolen sewing machine. According to the report, the sewing machine was stolen sometime in the last 24 hours. The Singer sewing machine was valued at $269.99. According to the report, the employee believes all the sewing machines were there the day before.
4 Women Steal Baby Clothing, Flee From Scene
On Feb. 11 at approximately 6:50 p.m., police responded to the Old Navy in the Marple Crossroads Shopping Center for a reported theft. Upon arrival, police spoke with the store officer who told police that four women had placed baby clothing in three different bags that they brought inside the store with them. Approximately $400 worth of clothing items is believed to have been stolen. When the store employee confronted the group as they were leaving, the women fled outside the store and toward Five Below, according to the report.
Brand New iPad Stolen From Classroom
On Feb. 11 at approximately 1:15 p.m., police responded to the Delaware County Community College for a reported theft. Upon arrival, police met with a student on campus who told police he had been in a classroom that morning and had placed his iPad underneath the table. According to the report, the student forgot the iPad and left the classroom without taking it. At approximately 12 p.m., the student realized he didn’t have the iPad and returned to the classroom but discovered it missing. The iPad was described as new and in a blue case valued at $500.
