State Police to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint in Delco

The Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks will conduct a sobriety checkpoint within Delaware County this weekend.

Between Dec. 16 and 18 the checkpoint will occur within Delaware County, State Police announced.

Troopers will be targeting aggressive driving, as well as impaired driving. Drivers are reminded to use seatbelts, slow down and don’t follow another vehicle too closely.

Also during this time, the Pennsylvania State Police will be participating in Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort), which is an International organization consisting only of state police and highway patrol agencies.

State Police have increased patrols during the holiday season, from Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve.
