NEWTOWN SQUARE–Netwown Township Police are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred at Episcopal Academy last Thursday, Jan. 31, involving a man taking photos of students.
A suspicious man, who appeared to look like a photographer, was seen taking photos at a recent squash match at the Dixon Athletic Building on Episcopal Academy's campus.
According to Newtown Police Chief Chris Lunn, an Episcopal Academy staff member approached the man and asked if they could be of assistance to him to which the man told the staff member that he was taking background photographs for the family of an EA student.
Soon after, the alleged photographer picked up his equipment and left the area. Family members were notified of the incident to which they they claimed that they did not hire a photographer, according to NBC 10.
"The EA staff member felt uncomfortable with the story of the photographer. EA notified the police the next day after speaking to the family and being told they didn't know who the photographer was," said Lunn.
Lunn confirmed that the man has still not been identified. If you have any information on the incident, please call Newtown Township Police Department at 610-356-0601.
