Thefts: Sewing Machine, Children's Clothes, Wallet

$399 Sewing Machine on Display Rack Stolen 

On Aug. 20 at approximately 3:15 p.m., a Joann Fabrics manager in the Marple Crossroads Shopping Center reported a Singer sewing machine was stolen sometime between Sunday and Monday that day. According to the incident report, the sewing machine was on a display rack in the store and valued at $399.

Woman With Retail Theft Record Hits T.J. Maxx

On Aug. 20 at approximately 3:22 p.m., reponsed to the for a reported retail theft. Upon arrival, the store officer told police a woman had stolen $124 worth of merchandise from the store. According to the report, the woman is on probation and had two prior arrests for retail theft.

2 Women Stuff Bags With Kids' Clothes, Flee

On Aug. 19 at approximately 12:48 p.m., police received a report about a retail theft at the  store in the Marple Crossroads Shopping Center. According to the report, the employee told police two women came into the store and started placing an unknown amount of children’s clothing into a large black bag. When the employee approached the two women, both ran out of the store. The employee followed the women and described one woman as pregnant. The woman sped away in a newer model Chrysler minivan.

Woman Caught Stealing at Burlington Coat Factory

On Aug. 15 at approximately 8:35 p.m., police responded to the Burlington Coat Factory in the Marple Crossroads Shopping Center for a reported theft. Upon arrival, police spoke with the store security officer who told police that three female juveniles were observed taking items from the store. All merchandise was recovered on location, according to the report.

Wallet Stolen Inside Office at DCCC

On Aug. 9, police responded to on 901 S. Media Line Rd. for a reported theft. Upon arrival, police spoke with the victim who told police that sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. that day, someone had entered her unlocked office room and removed a wallet from her purse. According to the report, the woman told police she had only left the office between 8:55 a.m. and 9:10 a.m. The wallet was described as a tan and white polka dot with black trim wallet valued at approximately $40. The wallet contained the woman’s driver’s license, a debit card and a memory card for her digital camera, according to the report.
