Wallet, Electronics Stolen from Cars

In the separate incidents, one of vehicles was locked but the other was left unlocked, police say.

A wallet and electronics were stolen from vehicles in two separate incidents in Marple Township recently, one of the vehicles was locked, the other was not, according to Marple Township Police. 

On Nov. 10, a man reported to police that his wallet was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot of CVS on the 2500 block of West Chester Pike in Broomall, according to police. 

The man told police he used cash to purchase items inside the store and as is habit, left his wallet inside the center console of his Audi which he believed was left unlocked, according to police.

He did not realize his wallet, with about $100 in cash and his valet key for his car inside, was missing until the next day and checked at CVS but they did not have it, according to police.

The man checked his credit card activity and noticed there were several unauthorized charges made to his credit cards in Bala Cynwyd and at Walmart in Philadelphia and he canceled all cards, according to police.

In a separate incident, on Nov. 13, a man told police that when he returned to his vehicle after seeing at movie at the AMC 10 in Springfield, he saw that his passenger side rear window was smashed out, according to police.

A Samsung Galaxy tablet, JBL flip tube speaker, Clear Internet hot spot connector and a strap bag containing textbooks were missing from the vehicle, with a total loss in excess of $1,000, according to police.
