Woman Finds Stranger In Home, Says He's There For a Craigslist Ad

Marple Township Police Department received a report of a man who had walked into a home on Croftridge Drive saying he was apparently there for a Craigslist ad.

BROOMALL–On June 19 at approximately 1:15 p.m., a woman called to report that a man had entered her home on Croftridge Drive and started to walk upstairs while she was home on the second floor with her husband.

According to the report, the woman confronted the man and asked what he was doing. The man responded that he was apparently supposed to buy a desk from a Craigslist ad and thought that the woman’s home was the house to pick up the item.

When the woman asked what address he was supposed to pick up the Craigslist item, the man could not provide an address. She walked the man out of the home and watched the man walk to a black sedan parked on the other side of the street about two homes away.
