The Rotary Club will purchase and donate a bus shelter at West Chester Pike and Sproul Road.

The Broomall Rotary Club will purchase and donate a bus shelter for the bus stop at West Chester Pike and Sproul Road.

The bus shelter will be located at an existing bus pad location, in front of the Broomall Gas Station, Marple Township Manager Anthony Hamaday said at Monday's workshop meeting.

There will be no advertising on the shelter other than stating it was donated by the Broomall Rotary, Hamaday said.

"The Rotary is excited about this project and if this works well they would like to continue with two or three more bus shelters along West Chester Pike, which I think would be a benefit to our residents," Hamaday said.

The Marple Township Board of Commissioners will be asked to accept the donation at the April 8 meeting.
