Coming Soon to Newtown Square: Primo Hoagies

The third tenant for the former Newtown Square Post Office site on Rt. 252 has been announced as Primo Hoagies.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Primo Hoagies will now be joining Dunkin' Donuts and Smoothie King at the former site of the Newtown Square Post Office on 20 North Newtown Street Road in Newtown Square.

Both Dunkin' Donuts and Smoothie King received approval from The Newtown Township Zoning Hearing Board in August of last year after hitting a roadblock in July. But a third tenant was yet to be determined at the location.

At a Zoning Hearing Board meeting on Jan. 17, the site received approval for a special exception for its third tenant, Primo Hoagies, to be used as a restaurant that will dispense food for off-premises consumption.

According to Township Manager Mike Trio, the site is currently under construction and the tenants are expected to move into their new spaces sometime in the spring.

Smoothie King and Dunkin' Donuts have been eyeballing the space since mid-June of 2012, according to Trio.

All three businesses will be located under the same roof of the former post office site, sharing a parking lot for all three. The Dunkin' Donuts will face Route 252 while the Smoothie King and Primo Hoagies will face Munger Road.
