County Court Staff Send Holiday Packages to Homebound Seniors

Delaware County's Court Administration staff of the Delaware County Courthouse packaged holiday crates for 44 homebound seniors in the county

MEDIA–Members of the Court Administration staff at the Delaware County Courthouse played Santa’s elves for 44 homebound senior citizens this holiday season. The employees packed crates with food, gifts, holiday greetings and grocery gift cards on Dec. 14, and the crates were presented to the County Office of Services for the Aging (COSA) to be delivered by COSA care managers and Senior Community Service care managers to elderly residents in the county.

“This is an amazing effort,” said Sheelah Weekes, a COSA program director, who said the crates will be delivered to senior citizens in the following COSA programs: Waiver, Options, Family Caregiver Support, Gateway and Protective Services.

“Their collaborative effort and generosity are so much appreciated by COSA staff and the seniors who benefit,” Weekes said.
