Last Collection Date For Read Across America Book Drive is Wednesday

Wednesday will be the last day of collection for Marple Newtown High School's Read Across American Book Drive.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Marple Newtown High School is honoring Dr. Seuss' birthday (March 2) with a Read Across America book drive. The book drive began on Feb. 1 and the last collection date is Wednseday, Feb. 22.

The high school is asking the school community to donate new and gently used children's books to the book drive. Parents are encouraged to send the books off to their high school student or anyone can donate the books to the high school's main office.

According to the school, the books will be donated to Cole Elementary School in Norristown. As a community service project, Marple Newtown High School has networked with Cole Manor "because they can use our support," according to the high school's website. Every child at Cole Manor will receive a book on Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
