NEWTOWN SQUARE– Supervisors Chairman Joe Catania confirmed through email on Sunday that an additional disciplinary letter has been issued to Chief Dennis Anderson after further investigation made by Township Manager Mike Trio.

Trio informed Marple Newtown Patch on Monday that the disciplinary letter was a recommendation for termination. However, Trio explained that Anderson cannot be terminated until the Board of Supervisors take action on the recommendation.

According to Trio, the letter was sent out late last week. Anderson was suspended from May 22 to June 22 with pay. Anderson's annual salary is $100,000. Since then, Trio said Anderson has been on administrative leave until the hearing.
