Marple To Host Electronic Recycling Event Saturday

Four Delco municipalities are coming together to help recycle your junk.

BROOMALL–Marple Township wants you to get rid of your TV, but in an environmentally friendly way.

Marple, in conjunction with Haverford, Edgemont and Newtown townships, is hosting a recycling day at the Old Marple School yard at West Chester Pike and Malin Road–across from the Broomall Fire Co.–on Saturday, Oct. 6.

The event is free and open to all residents in the area and will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The following items will be accepted at the event (large appliances will not be accepted):

  • TVs
  • computers
  • laptops
  • small appliances
  • microwaves
  • cameras
  • cell phone
  • air-conditioners
  • calculators
  • typewriters
  • telephones
  • fax machines
  • monitors
  • keyboards
  • computer mice
  • dehumidifiers

Can't make it to the event? You can drop off electronic recycling at the Marple Township Public Works garage at any time, located at 444 Marpit Drive in Broomall. Check with the township as to which appliances and electronic items are accepted. You can call them at 610-356-4040.
