Marple Celebrates the Season With Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

The 9th annual tree lighting at Veterans Memorial Park took place on Saturday, Dec. 3.

BROOMALL–The 9th annual Marple Tree Lighting Ceremony was sponsored by and the Marple Business and Professional Association. Several hundred residents gathered for cookies, candy canes, hot chocolate and a holiday ceremony.

Choir started the ceremony followed by the , Girl Scout Brownie Troop 5968 and Junior Troop 538. The ceremony closed with a visit from Santa who led the crowd in the tree lighting countdown. Frosty and Santa were also available for photos.
