Newtown Township Announces Two Public Works Openings

Newtown Township has announced the opening of Director of Public Works and a full-time driver/laborer for the Public Works Department.

NEWTOWN SQUARE– has announced they have two position open in the township's Public Works Department. Those positions are: Director of Public Works and full-time driver/laborer for the department.

Position Title Requirements Contact Information Director of Public Works This position reports directly to the township manager and is responsible for the management, administration, operations, and budgetary requirements of personnel, equipment, projects, and facilities. The successful candidate must be able to manage under emergency situations. A bachelor’s degree in public administration, engineering, business administration, or a related field is required. Salary will be commensurate with prior work experiences. An excellent benefit program is offered. Full-time Driver/Laborer The successful individual must have the ability to follow instructions, perform labor tasks, possess a working knowledge and skill level in operating various trucks, construction and specialized equipment, and knowledge of general maintenance procedures. Requirements include a high school degree or equivalent, a valid PA driver’s license and a Class “B” CDL with air-brake
