Pacifico Marple Ford Seeks to Expand

Marple Township Board of Commissioners will vote on the land development resolution next week.

A resolution to expand the Pacifico Marple Ford property was proposed at the Marple Township Board of Commissioners April 1 workshop meeting.

Pacifico Marple Ford at 3015 West Chester Pike in Broomall is proposing a 708-square-foot addition to provide a service area to the Lincoln brand, which is added to the Ford brand, Dennis O'Neill, the engineer representing Pacifico, said at the Monday night meeting.

The proposed addition does not add any additional service bays to the property and does not add any additional employees, he said.

"It's primarily to provide an advanced customer contact with the service department," O'Neill said.

There's no additional parking required and the application is asking for a waiver from stormwater management since the entire addition is currently on paved areas and underneath a canopy that already exists, he said.

The property is zoned residential and an application to expand to non-conforming use was approved by the Zoning Hearing Board at the March meeting.

The application was also approved by the Delaware County and Marple Township planning commissions.

The board of commissioners is expected to vote on the resolution at the April 8 meeting.
