Panera Bread and Yogurt Shop Approved For Newtown Square Shopping Center

The Newtown Township zoning board unanimously approves the shops, as well as some parking variances.

The Newtown Township zoning board unanimously passed an application to add a Panera Bread and unnamed yogurt and dessert shop in Newtown Square Shopping Center.

The center, located on 150 Monument Road, has had a few vacancies over the past couple of months.

Panera Bread will go in the former site of the Dress Barn, which had been gone a month or so, according to township manager Michael Trio.

With the Panera Bread will come an outdoor eating portion, which the board also approved.

There will also be some changes in parking. Instead of having the required 615 spaces for the businesses, based on the zoning, the shopping center will now have 607 spaces.
