Road Alert: Line Painting Project in Marple Newtown

Slow moving vehicles will be expected all week during the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's line painting project in Delaware County.

Morning commuters in the Marple Newtown area may want to give themselves ample time in the morning this week.

According to a press release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), state highways in Delaware County–including Marple, Newtown, Haverford, Radnor and Springfield townships–will see slow-moving vehicles as part of a line painting operation.

PennDOT advises drivers to give these trucks appropriate distance and to stay off the traffic lines.

Painting will occur from 6 am. to 2:30 p.m. through Sept. 1.
