Seats Open On Marple Environmental Board, Youth Aid Panel

Positions need to be filled on Marple Township's Environmental Advisory Board and Youth Aid Panel.

BROOMALL–There are three open seats on the Marple Township Environmental Advisory Board and open positions availalbe for the Marple Township Youth Aid Panel, reports the Delco News Network.

According to the Delco News Network, the three seats on the Environmental Advisory Board are for three-year terms. 

Volunteers are also needed to help fill openings on the Youth Aid Panel–established in 1996 to help neighborhoods deal effectively with first time youth offenders.

According to the township's Youth Aid Panel, a group of community members meet monthly with the youth and his/her family to discuss the offense. In addition, the panels hold the youth accountable for their actions by requiring community service, educational programs, and specific restitution.

Interested residents who wish to serve in either the Environmenal Advisory Board or Youth Aid Panel should send letters of intent to Marple Township Manager Anthony Hamaday, Marple Township Building, 227 South Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008, or email them to ahamaday@marpletwp.com.
