First Set of Liseter Homes Now for Sale

Homes in the Liseter Development, formerly the du Pont estate in Newtown Square, are now open for sale to the public.

The 400-acre estate is currently under Toll Brothers construction to become a master-planned community with six collections of carriage and single-family homes at Route 252/Newtown Street Road and Goshen Road.

"Liseter is the only master-planned community in the area with a rich history, classic main line architecture, and on-site amenities," Brian Thierrin, Toll Brothers’ vice president, said in a press release. "It’s truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity and excitement has continued to build since we purchased this historic property."

The development will be sold in sections, and the Bryn Mawr Collection is now open.

The Bryn Mawr Collection features single-family estate homes on one-third-plus-acre sites. Five different home designs are offered, ranging in size from 3,500 to more than 4,300 square feet and pricing starts in the $700,000s, according to the Liseter website.

All homes in the Bryn Mawr Collection will offer gourmet kitchens with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, Andersen® windows, hardwood flooring, spacious master-bedroom suites, and a three-car garage.

The other sections of Liseter will also include the following single-family home collections.

• Merion Collection offering 3,000 to 3,600 square feet
• Villanova Collection, signature homes ranging in size from 4,000 to 5,000 square feet on the largest home sites within Liseter

The carriage home collection will include:

• Devon Collection, traditional 2,400 to 2,685 square-foot front-entry carriage homes
• Newtown Collection, 2,700 to 3,250 square-foot rear-entry carriage homes
• St. David’s Collection, twin-style front- and rear-entry carriage homes ranging from 3,000 to 3,500 square feet

Liseter will also offer its residents amenities. An existing 9,000 square-foot historically preserved barn will be completely restored and refurbished as the community’s clubhouse. Residents will also enjoy a swimming pool, tennis courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center and walking trails.
