Delaware County Senior Games Winner's Circle Reception on July 7
Delaware County Senior Games Award Ceremony on July 7, 2011.
The awards were handed out at the Fourth Annual Winner's Circle Reception for the 2011 Delaware County Senior Games. I had an opportunity to attend. For those who could not make the event, I've posted a video of an interview with Stephen Gamble, the co-chair of the games.
As Stephen states during the interview, the purpose of the games was to celebrate age, and everyone was a winner. Also included here, a video of the opening remarks, and the bestowing of the "Fit For Life" award to Mac McDowell. I am not going to simply tell you how old Mac is, you have to view the video to learn about his many accomplishments during his life's journey. He is an inspiration to all of us.
One part that was cut from the interview with Mr. Gamble was the names of local residents who advanced to the National Senior Games in Houston. They are Kate Clair in swimming and Betty Allcorn in badminton.
