2 EA Students Attend Youth Leadership Conference

Two Episcopal Academy students recently participated in the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership conference.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Episcopal Academy students Rohan Rajagopalan, of Newtown Square, and Alexandra Archambault, of Chester Springs, were selected to represent at the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) conference at Temple University in Philadelphia.

Approximately 200 attendees from schools across Eastern Pennsylvania spent four days focused on leadership skills and the theme: "Empower, Lead, Excel." The goal of the program is to "motivate and empower individuals to make a positive difference within our global society," according to HOBY.

Activities included speakers on personal leadership, group leadership, and community service. Students also participated in a talent show, helped clean and package items for Cradles to Crayons' The Giving Factory, and reflected on their experiences. Throughout, they practiced motivational cheers. The word of the four days was "outstanding."
