Background: I am 39-years-old, married with four children ages 10, 9, 7 and 3. I am a certified public accountant with over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry. I am currently employed by a local investment firm where I am responsible for internal and external financial reporting.

Recently, I have had the pleasure of serving on the Environmental Advisory Board (EAB). While serving on the EAB, I recommended the planting of over a dozen new trees on the campus of . Thanks to the Marple Tree Commission, this recommendation came to fruition and the trees will help make the surrounding community and school more enjoyable and greener for generations to come.

I believe my experience in finance and accounting will be of great value as the board navigates through future budgetary processes that must meet the district‘s current financial commitments and operational needs while avoiding the temptation of saddling residents with undue long-term debt.

Platform: I believe our school district must be one that educates rather than just schools our children. If today’s kids are to be tomorrow’s leaders, we must ensure that our graduates possess a superior understanding of mathematics, science and technology. A Marple Newtown education must focus on effective reasoning and the ability to communicate ideas in a clear and concise manner. I know the district administration and staff are committed to our children’s success. If elected, I will constantly challenge myself as well as those around me to be bold and insist that we do more than just accept the status quo.
