Broomall Rotary Offering $1,500 Scholarships To High School Seniors

The Broomall Rotary is offering high school seniors a chance to receive a $1,500 scholarship award. Deadline is April 20.

BROOMALL–The Broomall Rotary is announcing their annual scholarship award program. The scholarship is awarded to several lucky high school seniors, who are residents of .

Last year, the Broomall Rotary awarded each of the five graduating seniors with a $1,500 scholarship. This year, they expect to do the same. The chosen seniors will receive the $1,500 scholarship award that may go towards their college tuition and fees as well as books and other expenses.

To apply, students must fill out the application attached to this article and submit it to their guidance counselor no later than April 20. All scholarships must be handed to the Broomall Rotary by April 27.

In addition, high school seniors who will be considered for the scholarship will include:

  • Those in the top 50 percent of their graduating class
  • Those in need of financial aid
  • A list of participating community service activities
  • A list of participating school activities
  • Two written references from school faculty members
  • A recent transcript which reflects their current GPA and class ranking
  • Participated in a recognized/chartered Rotary Interact Club at a participating high school to be considered for this scholarship

Interviews may be conducted by the Rotary's scholarship committee for students who may be considered.
