EA's Megan Quinn Named All-Delco Girls Basketball Play of The Year

The Daily Times names Episcopal Academy junior Megan Quinn as their pick for the 2011-12 girls basketball player of the year.

NEWTOWN SQUARE– junior Megan Quinn, an all-star hoops player with the Churchwomen, was recently named as The Daily Times' 2011-12 girls basketball player of the year.

Quinn, who was recently featured on Marple Newtown Patch, as a Whiz Kid for her overachieving success on the basketball court.

Last year, the 16-year-old committed to play for Villanova University's women's basketball team. Quinn, who plays center, also scored her 1,000th point in January this year at Blue Chip Super Sunday Showcase at Archbishop Carroll.

Quinn has also been playing for the Philadelphia Belles Nike Travel Team since the seventh grade.

The 6-foot-2-inch junior has been playing basketball before she could read or write and the sport has become a true passion of hers.
