Burk FitzPatrick, a pitcher and shortstop for Episcopal Academy, recently signed on with NCAA Division I baseball team at the University of Maine.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Right-handed pitcher and shortstop from Berwyn, Episcopal Academy senior Burk FitzPatrick, recently signed to play NCAA Division I baseball with the University of Maine.

A three-time varsity letter winner and 2012 co-captain of Episcopal’s baseball team, Burk started his career as a freshman, where he saw significant playing time when he was moved from JV to varsity.

Throughout his next two seasons, he continued to improve at the plate, in the field, and on the mound. As a junior, Burk hit .342 and demonstrated his maturity as a pitcher in a game against Germantown Academy, where he threw a one-hitter for the victory.
