Company, Master Gardener Recommendations for Composting with Chicken Manure, and Breeds of Chicken for the Home Flock, presented by an educator from CSA and Hillside Farm in Media. Vendors will be attending with educational information about chickens and chicken feed. Dr. Sherrill Davison, University of Pennsylvania veterinarian at

"Poultry Fest 2012 will give the general public the opportunity to relax and get to know poultry in a fun and
healthy environment," said Nora Hopson, leader of the Delaware County 4-H Poultry Club. The event is being organized by the Delaware County 4-H Poultry Club to educate families on poultry topics of interest.
With the help of 4-H volunteer leaders, the Delaware County 4-H program promotes hands-on active involvement in experiences that teach youth about all poultry projects: layers, heritage chickens, turkeys, and
pheasants, as well other topics such as showmanship and meat production. For more information about 4-H in Delaware County, go to http://extension.psu.edu/delaware or call the extension office at 610-690-2655.
