Do you find “homework time” to be one of the most stressful, challenging aspects of parenting your child? Do you struggle to find the balance between offering help and fostering independence? Are control battles and strained parent-child relationships par for the course? What if your child rejects all offers of support?
On Wednesday October 5th at 7:00 PM Dr. Patricia Quinn will answer these questions and more as she talks with the EA parents about finding successful strategies for homework. Dr. Quinn is a developmental Pediatrician and highly-regarded international speaker who has authored several best-selling books in the field of child development and learning disabilities. In her presentation at EA, Dr. Quinn will identify common homework profiles for kids (e.g., Disorganized, Procrastinator, Rusher, Easily Frustrated, Avoider etc…) and then describe specific strategies parents can employ to make homework time productive and successful. Learn ways to support your child’s executive functioning and help him/her become a better learner. Come share an evening with Dr. Quinn and learn how to make homework time less stressful and more successful.
