Film And Arts Fest Free to Public at DCCC Saturday

There will be a free film festival and arts exhibit at Delaware County Community College on Saturday, March 3, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

MEDIA–Marple's campus will host film festival and arts exhibit on Saturday, March 3, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Celebrating Differences Film and Art Festival is the first of its kind for the area, and is free and open to the public.

In honor of Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Month, The Arc of Delaware County and the Delaware County Office of Intellectual Disabilities will celebrate differences on Saturday with a day full of arts and theater involving disabilities.

The event is sponsored by iradiophilly.com and performances will include  Johnny Crescendo–a disability rights singer and songwriter–contemporary composer and pianist Willy Potts and actors from Arts YOUniverse and Verve Vertu.

Films will be featured by The Sprout Touring Film Festival–which holds a large collection of films about developmental disabilities for advocacy, awareness or fundraising to be used by local groups.

In addition, art exhibitors will include local painters, jewelry makers, pottery and more arts and crafts.
