Local Residents Named to Fall 2011 Dean's List

Marple and Newtown residents were recently named on their college's Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester. Dean's List students must maintain at least a grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4-point scale at some schools while others require students to maintain at least a 3.5 or above on a 4-point scale. All students must have also attempted at least 12 credits of course work.

Local students attending Villanova University, Thomas Jefferson University, Ithaca College, Rider University, and Grove City College were recognized for their achievements.

Those students included:

• Gerard X. Smith–A resident of Newtown Square, Smith is currently a senior at Villanova University studying biology and is planning to study entomology in graduate school.
• Anh Pham–A resident of Broomall, Pham is a BiosciTech-Medical Tech (3+1) student at Thomas Jefferson University.
• Jessica Zoll–A resident of Broomall, Zoll is a Nursing student at Thomas Jefferson University.
• Anne Spiegelman–A resident of Broomall, Spiegelman is a Nursing FACT student at Thomas Jefferson University.
• Kara Gatto–A resident of Broomall, Gatto is a Nursing, BSN from ASN student at Thomas Jefferson University.
• Ashley Antista–A resident of Newtown Square, Antista is a Nursing student at Thomas Jefferson University.
• Alexandra Jamison–A resident of Broomall, Jamison is a senior Therapeutic Recreation major at Ithaca College's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance.
• Meredith Harris–A resident of Newtown Square, Harris is a freshman Clinical Health Studies major at Ithaca College's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance.
• Jordan Hall–A resident of Broomall, Hall is currently a senior Journalism major at the College of Liberal Arts, Education, and Sciences at Rider University.
• Victoria Morra–A resident of Newtown Square, Morra is a sophomore Business Management major at Grove City College.
