Loomis Elementary Receives 2011 Achievement Award for AYP

Loomis Elementary School were recognized this year as a 2011 Keystone Achievement Awards recipients for achieving Adequate Yearly Progress two consecutive years in a row.

BROOMALL–The 2011 Keystone Achievement Awards are given to public schools that achieved Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), in the 2009-10 and 2010-11 school years. AYP is determined, in part, by a school’s performance on the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA), the standardized test given annually to students in grades 3-8 and 11.

was presented with its 8th Keystone Award by Superintendent Merle Horowitz and Assistant Superintendent Connie Bompadre at an all-school assembly the first week of December.

Loomis Principal Christine White thanked the entire Loomis Team that "rocked the PSSA."

"Eight was great. And here's hoping that at this time next year we are looking fine and celebrating number nine," said White.
