Marple Newtown High School Gives Back During the Holiday Season

Marple Newtown High School donated 48 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, five Thanksgiving dinner baskets to local families and a successful collection for 'Adopt and Child.'

NEWTOWN SQUARE–The Interact club sent 48 shoeboxes off to Operation Christmas Child. The boxes were filled to the top with all sorts of presents for the boys and girls around the world.

The "shoebox" collection was started by Marple Newtown alumni Jason Stussy and his mother, Barb, who continue to work with the high school every year to organize and deliver the boxes to the Samaritan's Purse.

Administration, faculty and students also donated food to prepare five Thanksgiving dinner baskets to Marple Newtown families. The boxes were overflowing with goodies for Thanksgiving and more.

Marple Newtown High School also had a successful collection for ‘Adopt and Child’ sponsored by Student Council. A child will wake up Christmas morning to a shiny new bicycle and more.
