Marple Newtown Students, Staff Help Give 75 Children a Happy Holiday

Students and staff in the Marple Newtown School District helped sponsor 75 children.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–, and elementary schools' teachers and students helped sponsor 75 children this holiday season.

Through the Delaware Valley Children’s Charity (DVCC), Marple Newtown schools and teachers were able to help contribute towards the charity's holiday gift giving program.

Lara Munch, Marple Newtown School District Coordinator of Foreign Language, helped organize and coordinate with the the DVCC. Trucks were filled with gifts to help make this a special holiday season for many children.

According to the DVCC, their annual Holiday Program matches sponsors with children in need.  Through groups, businesses, families, and individuals, sponsors commit to providing for their assigned child (for the holidays) completely.

"The new, warm clothing, toys, and food not only delight the children for the holidays, but take them through the winter season as well," states the DVCC's website.

According to the DVCC, there are approximately 6,000 children in the program this year.
