MNHS Students Publish School Literary Magazine's Winter Issue

Marple Newtown High School's Fringe Club published its winter issue last week.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–’s Fringe Club, a literary magazine group that showcases student work, published its winter issue last week. Students submit their best work and a team of student editors select, edit, and publish creative non-fiction essays, short fiction, poetry, photography, and drawings. 

The  publication is an online literary newspaper that can be accessed through our Edline Portal on the district website. Students publish three to four issues a school year and each issue typically reflects the most recent season. Their recently puplished issue, the winter issue, reflects the work students have created over the winter months.

There are four central editors who work to publish each issue, their editor-in-chief is Christie Leonard, a junior at Marple Newtown.

"We all share a common belief that there are many talented and creative students in our school who need an authentic audience in order to flourish as young writers," shared Galen Mooney, the club's faculty advisor, in an email. "Every artist needs an audience to bring extra purpose to their work."
