O'Hara President to Retire in June

Dr. William J. McCusker will retire from the Springfield, Marple Township high school at the end of the school year.

Cardinal O'Hara High School President Dr. William J. McCusker will retire at the end of the school year, he announced Tuesday, according to the Delaware County News Network.

McCusker, 68, has been in Catholic education for 47 years and has been at O'Hara for 31 years, 13 as president, according to Delco News Network, he was first hired as principal at the Springfield, Marple Township school in 1993 and became president in 2001. 

The school has not yet hired a new principal to replace former Principal Marie Rogai, who was terminated in November, and McCusker told the Delco News Network that it was best for the school if the new principal and president began their journey together.
