Paxon Hollow Science Fair Winners Announced

Paxon Hollow Middle school recently held their annual science fair.

BROOMALL–Teresa Appleby and Nate Tierney’s Advanced Science classes at Paxon Hollow Middle School recently participated in their annual Science Fair. Students were encouraged to apply creative and critical thinking skills to scientific research and experiments.

The Science Fair promotes enthusiasm for science and an understanding of the scientific method to solve real life problems. The school announced they are proud of the commitment and hard work from all of their winners who will move on to represent PHMS at the Delaware County Intermediate Unit Science Fair. 

6th GRADE RESULTS

1st Place: Rebecca Ritchie and Lisha Chen–“Garden Roof Tops”
2nd Place: Louis Kontaras  and Joseph McCool–“Hydroponics”
3rd Place: Ella Yeakle, Alexandra Hammonds, and Eva Fay–“Baking Soda/Cupcakes”
Honorable Mention: Mason Quinn–“Fertilizers Effect on Algae”
Honorable Mention: Kendall Van Son–“Insulations”

7th GRADE RESULTS

1st Place: Nick Marziani, Ben Smith,Vincent Sciulli, Brandon Guo–“Exasperating Ethylene”
2nd Place: Jenna Cooper, Michelle Tannahill, Rebecca Wenger–“Electrifying Energy”              
3rd Place: Nick DiPrinzio, Gabe Bryant, Sam Stickley, Chad Lairdieson–“The Effects of Modern Technology on Driving”
Honorable Mention: Aidan Vorhees and David Li–“Diffusion”
Honorable Mention: Abby Pancoast and Halle Robinson–“Saving the Earth…One Roof at a Time”

8th GRADE RESULTS
