PHMS 7th Graders Score High in Math Olympiad

Paxon Hollow Middle School seventh-grade students were listed on the Grade Seven National Meritorious Achievement List for their high score during Math Olympiads this year.

BROOMALL– seventh-grade team of Gifted Support students competed among 150,000 students worldwide in the Math Olympiad program this year.

This program provides challenging, thought-provoking problems that stretch the abilities of students in grades 4 through 8. The team was listed on the Grade Seven National Meritorious Achievement List for their high score. This list recognized the top 20 percent of all seventh-grade teams.

Gifted Support teacher Cindy Petty helped aid 35 students through the program. Those students were:

Jason Chhay, Sara Danenhower, Vincent Davis, Regina Fairbanks, Ryan Fite, Lauren Holt, Karch Klos, Beneshia Mathew, Jenna Matteo, Alexa Mugler, Lucky Wavai, Liem Ross, Luke Traynor, Elizabeth Rains, Hannah Si, Bryan Boclair, Elizabeth Conca, Leigh Delaney, Julia Gloninger, Kat Hallinan, Jimmy Hurd, Kyle Turner, Isaac Stafford, Kirsten Lipsky, Cameron Mathes, Phillip McCutcheon, Colleen McIntyre, Philip Missan, Guillermo Murgueytio Laura Myers, Katie Rice, Sophie Williams, Dimitri Stergiou, Eleni Valavanis, and Jasjit Kaur.
