Photos: BreakFest After Prom 2012

Marple Newtown High School held its annual post-prom party at the Marple Sports Arena in Broomall on June 9.

BROOMALL–On Saturday, June 9, the in Broomall was transformed into the "Marple Newtown Station" for the 2012 BreakFest After Prom. Earlier that evening, the Marple Newtown Class of 2012 held their senior prom at Drexelbrook. This was followed by the post prom held this year at Marple Sports Arena.

An annual tradition brought together by high school senior parents, a BreakFest After Prom Committee is formed at the beginning of each school year. Parents plan and brainstorm a theme for the post prom party. Last year, the .

The decorating was accomplished with a few very dedicated parents and helpers during the day on Saturday. The front of the building was modeled after Philadelphia's 30th Street Station, and inside were murals to give it the feel of the station.

The students were greeted by the sound of trains leaving the station and entered the station to continue a memorable night of fun. Some of the parent volunteers included Bruce Furst, Dennis Landi, Jim Berger, Andrew Furst, Dan Furst and Sean Furst.
