Saint Joseph's University Names Local Students to Fall 2011 Dean's List

Local students from Marple and Newtown were named to Saint Joseph's University 2011 Fall Dean's List.

Saint Joseph's Unversity recently announced and residents who were named to the school's Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester. Dean's List students must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4-point scale, a B or greater in all their classes, and complete at least 15 credits to earn Dean's List status for a semester.

Those local students who were recognized for their academic achievements included:

  • Victoria Angelucci–A resident of Broomall, Angelucci is majoring in Chemical Biology.
  • Emily Buccieri–A resident of Broomall, Buccieri is majoring in English.
  • Vasiliki Gouliaberis–A resident of Broomall, Gouliaberis is majoring in History.
  • Rania Lambritsios–A resident of Broomall, Lambritsios is majoring in Interdisciplinary Health Services.
  • Margaret Myers–A resident of Broomall, Myers is majoring in International Relations.
  • Ryan Parsons–A resident of Broomall, Parsons is majoring in Psychology.
  • Patrick Shank–A resident of Broomall, Shank is majoring in History.
  • William Fontanot–A resident of Broomall, Fontanot is majoring in Food Marketing.
  • Perpetua Salvucci–A resident of Broomall, Salvucci is majoring in Accounting.
  • Emily Boyle–A resident of Newtown Square, Boyle is majoring in Elementary Special Education.
  • Laura Buongiorno–A resident of Newtown Square, Buongiorno is majoring in Interdisciplinary Health Services.
  • Erin Collins–A resident of Newtown Square, Collins is majoring in History.
  • Matthew Benedetto–A resident of Newtown Square, Benedetto is majoring in Accounting.
  • Katrina Caggiano–A resident of Newtown Square, Caggiano is majoring in Food Marketing.

Founded by the Society of Jesus in 1851, Saint Joseph's is home to 4,600 traditional day students, 700 College of Professional and Liberal Studies adult undergraduates and 3,500 graduate and doctoral students. Steeped in the 450-year Jesuit tradition of scholarship and service, Saint Joseph's was named to the 2010 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for General Community Service.
