Superintendent's Top 10 2011-12 MNSD Moments

NEWTOWN SQUARE–At a meeting on June 26, Marple Newtown Superintendent Merle Horowitz shared her top 10 favorite moments for the 2011-12 school year in the Marple Newtown School District.

Those favorite moments are as follows (from first to last):

1. The school board members being able to sit in a beautiful new board room as part of the renovations project.
2. near completion after nearly three years of construction.
3. Proud of the district's administratie team for working hard to implement a .

Six students who have received a scholarship from the district's Sponsor A Scholar program, which pairs a student with a sponsor and mentor during the four years of high school. This program is a partnership between the school district and the business community to reach out to young scholars and aid them in their pursuit of a college education. Four freshmen have already been sponsored starting the 2012-13 school year.
