Fencing

Fencing is a mentally and physically challenging Olympic combat sport where opponents try to trick each
other to score points using foils (blunt, flexible practice weapons). This class teaches basic technique and tactical ideas through fun competitive games. Students (ages 8 through adult) will get a great workout and have lots of fun
while developing balance, coordination, tactical thinking, and discipline. No prior experience is needed. Class fee includes fencing glove and use of all other equipment. Participants should wear sneakers and loose, comfortable athletic clothing. Instruction will be provided by Kate Thomas from the Delaware Valley Fencers Club. Session 1:   9:00am - 10:00am (Ages 8-12)                     Session 2: 10:00am - 11:00am (Ages 13-17)              Session 3: 11:00am - 12:00pm (Ages 18+)
