MN Boys Youth Lacrosse Final Registration & Parents Meeting

Marple Newtown Youth Lacrosse will be holding their final registration and parents meeting on Saturday, Jan. 29, in room 122 of the Marple Newtown High School (rear of building) at 12 p.m. for the Spring 2011 season. Registration information & Forms will also be available online at www.mnylax.org.

The registration fee is $125 for third through eighth grades and includes membership in the US Lacrosse Association, insurance, league fees for the Southeast Pennsylvania Youth Lacrosse Association and referee fees. The fee for first and second graders is $60 (loaner helmets are provided).

We will be teaching the basic skills required to play lacrosse. Practice will begin at the end of Feb. or early March (depending upon the weather). The games are played on weekends and will start in early April and continue until around Memorial Day. Most of our teams practice at Paxon Hollow Middle School and home games will be played at the Gauntlett Community Center.

Teams are separated by grade and skill level. We will have teams in the 3rd/4th grade division, the 5th/6th grade division and in the 7th/8th grade division. We will also have an in-house instructional program for first and second grade players. In the past, our teams have averaged about 50 percent new players and 50 percent returning players.
