Marple Falls Short Against Aston-Middletown in Little League Championship

MIDDLETOWN–The Aston-Middletown Little League team survived the late-inning rally of the , beating Marple 7-4 and forcing one more game in the double-elimination Pennsylvania District 19 tournament final on Monday, July 9.

AMLL went into the fifth inning with a 6-0 lead and all the momentum in the world, but solid hitting and base-runing by MTLL gave them a chance with four runs in the last two innings.  

In the end, the powerful batting of Aston-Middletown and the great arm of Mason Miller proved too large an obstacle to overcome.

Marple went into the double-elimination tournament championship with no losses; therefore, Aston-Middletown must beat them again to capture the district championship. 

The final game will take place at the Aston-Middletown Little League field on Tuesday, July 10, at 6 p.m.
