Last Chance: 3rd Annual Billy Keane 5K/1-Mile Family Run
Last week to register or donate online for the run/walk for the 3rd Annual Billy Keane 5K and 1-mile family run which takes place on June 16 at Ridley Creek State Park.
NEWTOWN SQUARE–This Saturday, June 16, the Billy Keane Foundation will hold their 3rd Annual Billy Keane 5K and a 1 mile family run to help assist families in Delaware County who are facing difficult times due to an illness or tragedy.
According to the foundation, Billy Keane was a "friend, brother, and fiancé."
In June 2009, he passed on to a better place after a 16 month battle with colorectal cancer. Billy was one of the most generous people we knew. If there was a cause being represented, you could always count on Billy to make a large donation!

The Foundation plans to hold a fundraising event a year and shortly, thereafter, will choose candidates to receive a onetime financial gift to help with their immediate needs, according to the website.
The race starts at 10 a.m. at at Pavilion 17.
