All About The Marple Newtown 4th of July Parade, Firecracker 5K

Runners can still participate in the race and can register before the Fourth of July Firecracker 5K race today. The parade begins immediately after the race at 10 a.m.

BROOMALL–The –sponsored by the Marple Newtown Fourth of July Parade Committee, Commissioners, and the Broomall Rotary Club–will be held on July 4th, Wednesday, in conjunction with the Fourth of July Parade in town.

Those who are still interested in running the race can register in person before the race at 8 a.m. Packets will also be available for pickup starting at 8 a.m. at the start/finish line off of N. Malin Rd. by the . fire station.

Registration fees are now $20 for ages 17 and under; $25 for adults; and $65 for a family (six maximum/three shirts).

The race will begin at 9:25 a.m. and all runners must reach the turnaround point at Bryn Mawr Avenue in Newtown Square by 10 a.m. The parade will begin immediately after the race.

The race starts on West Chester Pike/Rt. 3 at Malin Road near the Broomall Fire Station. Runners will proceed west on Rt. 3 just beyond Bryn Mawr Avenue in Newtown Square and u-turn to the starting point, leading the parade back to the Broomall Fire House. Water will be available at the 1-mile and 2-mile markers.
