Marple Newtown Celebrates the Fourth

Marple Newtown residents parade the streets in honor of our nation's 237th birthday.

Red, white and blue colors embellished faces, clothing, bicycles and much more in Delco on Thursday, July 4.

In Marple-Newtown, residents congregated along West Chester Pike, from St. Albans Circle to the Broomall Fire House, to watch participants and catch handfuls of candy at the parade. Antique cars, fire trucks and floats were just some of the vehicles that joined in the procession. The event occurred between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

In Havertown, residents gathered at multiple locations to celebrate America’s birthday. Events hosted by both Westgate Civic Association and the Paddock Farms Civic Association included decorated bicycles, parades and picnics to wrap up the afternoon.
